"New Sponsor For The Crows"
Narellan Hotel is showing
its support as a major supporter of Cobbitty
Narellan Cricket Club. The sponsorship brings the
benefits to the club of having a great location for
both Junior & senior teams to meet after the days
play and mix with other club members.
The Hotel is
well known for it's great food and
family atmosphere. As
part of our sponsorship the Narellan
Hotel has made a generous offer to our junior teams
wearing club clothing on a Saturday during the
cricket season of FREE Soft Drinks, which is fantastic for the teams looking
to grab lunch and a drink after the days play, we
encourage all junior teams to drop by on the way
home.
For the older members the hotel is keeping a
register of all purchases by club members in the
Bottle shop, and once we achieve a very reasonable
target the hotel will throw a Gala day with jumping
castles, BBQ, and drinks for the club.
Please make yourself known to the staff and let them
know that you are a part of our cricket club at
every opportunity you have as this is an important
sponsor.
Junior Club Members Test Catch Competition
We are running a
competition for all Junior Club players and
challenge you to take on the Test Catch Cricket
Game.
The game is an internet wicket keeping game where
you get to test your keeping skills against the rest
of the Cobbitty Narellan Cricket Club
Junior players. The aim of the game is simple: move
the gloves to catch cricket balls.
The Junior
Club Member with the highest score on
December 14th will win the following
Prize presented at Narellan Hotel on Saturday,
December 15th at 7.30pm.
Razor Sportz - who supply our club with all
our playing equipment and clothing have generously
donated a fantastic "Junior Players Kit valued at
$200".

Milo Have-A-Go Cricket
The MILO Have-A-Go
program is an introductory cricket program for boys
and girls aged 5 to 8 years old.Season
will run from Thursday 18th October thru to Thursday
20th December from 5pm to 6.30pm at Birriwa Oval Mt
Annan. Have A Go is suitable for Girls & Boys aged
5yrs to 8yrs, and teaches kids cricket skills in a
fun environment. At $42 for 10 weeks is a great
introduction to the game. To register come along to
the club registration days or contact a committee
member for more information. The Have-A-Go BBQ and
Presentation day will be held Thursday 20th December
at Birriwa Oval following final game.
Braino Makes
Australian U16's Side
Congratulations to Nathan Brain
"Cobbitty Narellan Junior" on being selected in the
Australian U16's School Boys Team currently touring
England. Nathan will be competing in matches during
the coming weeks
so keep an eye on the website for updates on
Nathan's progress.

Nathan has got 1 wicket in each. Batting at
No:10 in both
20-20 games
with figures 3
not out.The
2nd game 3 runs caught
He batted at 6
in 50 over match the next day and unfortunately
loves the number 3,he
got 3 runs & caught.

Apparently, England
are playing well and the
young Aussie's have just got to settle into
the Pommy climate.

The Aussie team is
doing it tuff against the young Poms.There's
been two more games
with
poor results for Australia.
England 3/181
def. Aussies
10/179 and the England 2/193 def.
Aussies 10/192.
Braino
didn't get wickets in
these matches, however his figures
showed he was very
economical.He got 0 for 22 off 5
overs.The opening bowlers figures were 0 for
51 off 7and 0 for 25 off 3 etc.With
the bat he
got 3 runs again out LBW.In
all 4 games he has managed to be consistent
by getting 3 runs every innings !!!

Braino batted 10th and
got 16 not
out, the
Poms won with
the Aussies batting
first 10/192 Poms 2/196.
3rd Sept.
Braino batted 7th
with a personal
tour high score of
21with 3 4's,in 28 mins.
He
also got 2/31from
10overs

The Aussie boys were outclassed by the
Junior Poms who took a clean sweep of
the tour. Braino did himself, his
parents and the club
proud.....Congratulations Nathan you
excelled and are destined for bigger and
better things.....

Club Clothing Order Form
Club clothing orders will be
placed 1st of September,for delivery prior to
commencement of the season. And then again ordered at the
completion of round 3 of the 2007-08 season, the
third and final order for the season will be placed
21st
January. Please download and complete an order form
and give to your coach or team captain along
with a 50% deposit. Coaches please ensure you pass
orders and deposit to a committee member promptly to
avoid delays in delivery of club clothing.
